RK-TEC part of SWECO

Sweco expands in Belgium by acquiring engineering company RK-TEC

With the acquisition Sweco strengthens the offer within automation, digitalisation, electricity and security on the Belgian market.

RK-TEC was founded in 2010 and is primarily active within the pharmaceutical and industrial sectors. The company has more than 60 specialists and a turnover of approximately EUR 6.4 million (2021).

“This is a step forward in the growth journey that we are on in Belgium and RK-TEC will complement our existing offering very well. I would like to welcome the employees of RK-TEC to Sweco and together continue to transform society in a sustainable direction,” says Åsa Bergman President and CEO of Sweco.

The world of robotics

RK-TEC automation team attended the 3rd edition of the Robotics Days powered by StÃĪubli and partners. This is the opportunity to learn live and on-site about the latest developments in the field of industrial automation. The world of robotics took place at Einstein Hall at Technopolis on 27 &28th of October.

The automation team got involved with all demo cells, met stakeholders of robotic’s projects, and actively participated in expert talks.

This experience will be shared with our fast-growing automation team and all our newcomers.

For an extra adrenaline rush, we went to the #racing #24h2CV!

RK-TEC sponsored ECAM university at the racing 24h 2CV!

The 2CV was presented for the first time at the Auto Salon in Paris in 1948.
With its little two-cylinder engine and a performance far from being that of a racing car, who would have imagined that it could turn up one day in a race?
And yet, in 1985, the first 24 hours 2CV race was organized, on the most beautiful Circuit in the world.

 

This year, RK-TEC sponsored ECAM Racing team, where ECAM engineers were responsible of the racing car!
The racing took place on 23rd of October at Spa-Spa-Francorchamps and we had access to the paddocks, there were numerous animations, and traditional parade.

On Thursday 23rd of September, we closed our laptops, turned on out of offices and came together for the second time since the start of the pandemic…

What a successful team building event organized by our legendary BUM Frederic Marchal!

These smiles are self-explanatory of our group excitement. It was a great day to regroup, reflect, recharge and REFRESH with the team before we end the remaining quarter with a bang!

“ SUPs, jumps, Volley ball and as always, tons of food, beers and laughs. We always seem to return from these types of events energized and ready to see these plans come to fruition. Such an exciting time for the group and cannot wait to see what the future holds! We had a blast!
