Customer:
GSK
Sector:
Energy
Project ref:
RX207-RX88
Budget:
over 40 Million euros
Location:
Belgium

GSK is one of the world’s leading research-based pharmaceutical and healthcare companies. Headquartered in the UK, it is a global organisation with offices in over 100 countries and major research centers, in the UK, USA, Belgium and China. The company has the mission to improve the quality of human life.

Customer Goal

Build a new power plant building on Rixensart site.

The project consists of the studies and the realization of a new power plant at the production site of Rixensart.

The new building will also include a storage area and offices.

The new power plant allows the production of chilled water (needed for pharmaceutical processes and cooling of buildings) and steam raising.

This site should facilitate the future development of the site of Rixensart.

It consists of:

16 MW for the production of chilled water

45 t/h for the production of steam

12,5 MW for the production of cooling water

The project consists to implement 2 new boilers of 15 tones each, 2 chillers 4MW each, cooling tower system of 12 Mw capacity, Water treatment and officies. Main systems Diesel generator, HV Transformer, TGHT, TGBT Lighting managment system, BMS, SCADA, Data Infrastructure, Access control, cameras….

RK-TEC ensures project’ delivery on time: Project started in June 2011 for a duration of 36 months

Environment Benefits : Saving energy

By taking steps to reduce energy intake, we will contribute to a healthier and happier world.

Perhaps the most notable way that reducing energy helps the environment is by decreasing power plant emissions.

When we consume less power, we reduce the amount of toxic fumes released by power plants, conserve the earth’s natural resources and protect ecosystems from destruction.
